Pathway to Heaven

from $75.00

This image was taken on my backpack trip in April 2023 when the yellow flowers of brittlebush (Encelia farinosa) blanketed the Grand Canyon’s Tonto Platform creating a path to heaven up the canyon walls shaped like prayer hands. The full creeks lulled us to sleep with the baritone musicality of boulders rolling in snowmelt waters. The chorus of canyon frogs’ serenade bounced between pink rocks and the pink blossoms of redwood trees. Magic.

In April, brittlebush plants have numerous yellow flowers, providing food for wildlife like bighorn sheep. The plant gets its name from the stems of these flowers, which break easily. Brittlebush may be fragile, but it can rebound with any quick and steady rain.

Vertical image. Offered in 3 sizes. Paper print only. You will need to mat and frame, if wanted.

Fine art printed on Cold Press Bright Paper - 21 mil (340 gsm), acid free, 100% cotton rag paper with a bright white, textured surface, archival quality.

I offer print sizes native to the camera so no cropping of the image is necessary. If you would like a custom print size or material, please contact me via email or my Contact Me form.

40% of proceeds from all Fine Art Prints are donated to conservation causes. Wildflower prints support native plant conservation. Thank you for your support!
