New Photography Workshop!

What: Capture to Print: Spring in the Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument

When: April 6-10, 2026

Where: Organ Mountain-Desert Peaks National Monument, Las Cruces & Santa Fe, New Mexico

Join me for spring in the Organ Mountains in southern New Mexico, one of the state’s most dramatic desert landscapes—and one of its most fragile ecosystems. From our base in Las Cruces, we spend three days exploring different regions of this 500,000-acre monument. Then we return to Santa Fe for two days in the classroom where we will bring our images to life with fine art prints. Learn how to photograph both sweeping vistas and intimate details as participants explore the soaring granite spires of the Organ Mountains, volcanic cones, expansive grasslands, and hidden hanging gardens with seasonal waterfalls. Spring is an ideal season in the Organ Mountains for landscape photography, when poppies and a rich diversity of wildflowers bring the desert to life.

CONSERVATION WORK

I am a conservation photographer, science writer, and visual storyteller based in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

I work at the intersection of art and ecology, creating images and stories that illuminate the quiet resilience of the natural world. Whether collaborating with conservation partners, documenting scientific research, or guiding others in their creative journey, my goal is the same: to help people see — and care for — the living landscapes around us.
